IMPORTANT: Please remember, a paddle board is classified as a vessel by the U.S. Coast Guard and every paddle board must have one PFD per each person on board at all times, kids 12 and under must wear their PFDs at all times.

Try to avoid lakes and open water when the wind kicks up. Wind can become very dangerous, push you far from shore very quickly and separate you from your board if you fall off. The Coast Guard loves for folks to wear leashes on lakes and oceans! They're wonderful to have on the lake and help to keep the board from getting away from you if you fall off. Play safe and have fun while you're out enjoying our beautiful lakes!

IMPORTANT: Please remember, a paddle board is classified as a vessel by the U.S. Coast Guard and every paddle board must have one PFD per each person on board at all times, kids 12 and under must wear their PFDs at all times.

A PFD is your MOST IMPORTANT piece of equipment on any moving water and should be worn at all times. As for leashes, unless you have a quick release/breakaway leash, leave it behind. Wear your breakaway leash at all times or stash away when not in use. Leashes and other rope-like equipment are very dangerous in rivers, can get snagged in strainers and trap you under water. Always remember to respect the river, play safe and have fun!
